About Director

⁣Sara Oliveira is a Portuguese-Brazilian director and animator, holding a degree in Multimedia from ESMAD and currently pursuing a Master's in Sound and Image with a focus on Animation at the School of Arts at UCP. Her films explore the human condition and the complexity of individual and collective experiences through an experimental approach.
Sara is currently developing Escritório do Nada, a continuation of her film Thyestean, where she uses cannibalism as an allegory for human selfishness. Through an expressive visual approach, where color, line, and movement play a fundamental role, her work reflects on the cyclical nature of social systems and the subjectivity of the audience’s perception.
