Synopsis

⁣On the night of the 14th of July 1933, the writer Raymond Roussel closes the door of his room at the Hotel Des Palmes in Palermo. He swallows pills, drags the mattress to the centre of the room and lies down on it. The next morning his companion, accompanied by a valet, finds his corpse. But is he really dead? Or did he cross a border that he considered unacceptable, that between reality and imagination?

About Director

⁣Mangoosta is a collective, a two-headed identity that chases each other endlessly, it is the alchemical androgynous that expresses its unique multiplicity through storytelling, narration and the daily construction of the imaginary, as a truth inextricable from the real. We are animators, illustrators and explorers. The Angs and the Bliss is our second short movie after Flocks (2021). We also do some commercials to earn our living and we curate a festival animation in Bologna called Tecnica Mista.
