About Director

⁣Daan Lucas (He/Him, 1997) constantly seeks a balance between playfulness and meaning in his work. As an animator and illustrator, he creates colourful and detailed worlds where childlike joy goes hand in hand with mature themes. His characters and compositions are designed to stimulate and invite exploration. For Daan, each project is an opportunity to provide visual enjoyment while revealing something new and unexpected through humour, creativity, and attention to detail.
In addition to his personal work, Daan is a skilled 2D (FX) animator. He specializes in crafting expressive motion and intricate effects that enhance visual storytelling. While he enjoys creating his own wacky, imaginative projects, Daan also thrives in collaborative environments. He looks forward to blending his enthusiasm and expertise with the creative visions of others to create impactful animated films.
