⁣Wendy Martinez, co-lead singer of the sixties-inspired girl group Gloria (Howlin' Banana Label) now presents us with her first solo album, after a first EP in 2021 : a record of nine visceral tracks in her French mother tongue, instilled with sixties soul, the political songs of the seventies and modern pop, was released on 31th March 2023. Keyboards and organs, Gainsbourg bass, soulful drums and angelic backing vocals, such as oboe, bassoon, violins, or French horn, were recorded by a faithful team of musicians. In this album Wendy Martinez pays homage to strong women, the world in the fourth millennium, the Great Evening, Resilience and even the Metaverse: retro futurism in short.
