Synopsis

⁣⁣The Hungarian word “alkotás” (artwork) has a dual meaning—it can refer both to the process of creation and to the finished artwork. The film tells the story of how a canvas comes alive, how playful, abstract forms are created, each carrying its own human narrative.

About Director

⁣After graduating from the Secondary School of Arts in Pécs, specializing in applied graphics, I began working in animation at the Pécs Animation Studio, led by Tibor Hernádi. In 1994, I was admitted to the Animation Program at the University of Applied Arts (now MOME). In 1999, after earning my diploma, I co-founded K.G.B. Studio with Áron Gauder and Igor Bóka. The studio has been operating for over 25 years, producing original animated films, television idents, and VFX for feature films. Among the works created at the studio are Géza M. Tóth’s Oscar-nominated short film Maestro, the VFX for Ildikó Enyedi’s Oscar-nominated On Body and Soul, and the VFX work for the Cannes Palme d'Or–winning American independent film Anora. Besides running the studio, I work as a designer of animated films and a VFX supervisor for live-action films. I have taught at MOME and Metropolitan University.
