Koji Yamamura (Japan)

Koji Yamamura was born in Japan in 1964, Nominated for an Oscar, his short “Mt. Head”(2002) won 6 grand prizes of Annecy, Zagreb, and Hiroshima was selected for 100 Films for a Century of Animation. “Franz Kafka’s A Country Doctor” (2007) won the grand prize at Ottawa and Hiroshima, Feature film “Dozens of Norths”(2021) won the Grand Prize at Annecy and Ottawa. In total, his films have won 154 awards. “Extremely Short” (2024) is officially selected for Directors’ Fortnight, Cannes.

A member of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, professor at the Tokyo University of the Arts.

 

Maya Yonesho (Germany)

Maya Yonesho was born in Japan and now resides in Stuttgart, Germany. Her abstract animated works explore wordless intercultural and interpersonal understanding using landscape, sound, and voice. Since 2006 she has traveled to 22 countries in 3 continents, conducting animation workshops and making personal films to create her “Daumenreise” series. These works set individual expressive, hand-held, animations in real places enabling viewers to see personal visions in collective spaces. In addition to this ongoing work, Maya does freelance animation and lectures internationally. She believes that animation has the power to celebrate culture and community and create bridges worldwide.

Luis Paris (Argentina)

Artist and digital animator, graduated from the University of Buenos Aires (UBA) and in Visual Arts at the National University of Arts (UNA), professor of the degree in Multimedia Arts (UNA). His animated short films “Tamgu”, “Pasajes” and his documentary “Srta. Hisas” were selected and exhibited in numerous spaces and festivals such as Annecy International Animation Film Festival, Animafest Zagreb 2021, Seoul International Cartoon & Animation Festival (Korea), T-Short Animated Film Festival (Germany), Angelika Short Film Competition (USA) , Carton Festival (Argentina), Cortoons Festival di corti di animazione di Roma (Italy), Salamanca Video Short Film Festival, Badalona (Spain), among others. As a graphic designer and animator, I have developed identity for TV channels in different studios and independently with participation in 9 projects recognized by the Promax BDA Awards.

Che Marcheti (Brazil)

Che Marcheti is an story artist, animation filmmaker and digital nomad. She was born in 1993 in São Paulo, Brasil. Che studied design in Universidade Presbiteriana Mackenzie and worked as an story artist and an animator taking part in making of various films.

In 2017 Che released the first Brazilian animation art book, “Trajetória”, launched in Annecy Festival (2018), Animafest Zagreb (2018) and Anima Mundi Festival (2017).

Pressure is her first movie.
