We are happy to welcome you to the T-Short Festival website.

From November 15, 2025, the online screening of non-competitive and special programs of the T-Short festival will open and run until November 30, 2025.

On November 28 and 29, the films will be screened at the Kinemathek Karlsruhe cinema.

Online screenings of the festival’s competition programs will begin on December 1, 2025 and will continue until December 14, 2025.

Important Information:

If you are a filmmaker who has participated in the T-Short Festival for several years and already have an account on the festival website, simply go to the section where the online screenings will take place and log in.

If you are participating in the festival for the first time and would like to watch the festival films online, please register on the website, send the name of the film participating in the festival, the email address specified on Filmfreeway, and your nickname when registering on the festival website. After that, you will receive a special festival participant pass and will be able to watch the films online.

FESTIVAL HIGHLIGHTS

T-Short Animated Film
On/Off Festival

T-Short Festival for professionals from all over the world and animated movie fans in Germany.

Only short films up to 15 minutes are presented at the festival, for the most part, films without dialogues or monologues..

T-Short Festival treats any auteur animated films with trepidation, however, it prefers abstract, experimental and surreal animation.

The festival is aimed at an adult audience only.

The festival is international and has no national awards.

National awards can only be presented by sponsors and partners of the festival.

Films are judged by our highly respected Jury.

Festival films can be watched both Online and Offline in the Cinema.

Watching films online is only possible for residents of Germany. From other countries, watching films is only possible for festival participants from 2021 to the present and invited guests.

FESTIVAL LOGO AND PRIZE

The Name of T-Short is a pun: T-Shirt is a well-known item of clothing and the word Short here means a short film. Similarly, a project logo emphasizes a pun in the title – a film shaped like T-Shirt.

 

 

The prize of the festival is created in the likeness of the logo and is made by hand from ceramics. The author of the prize is Vita Valdmane (Master of Ceramics).

The author of the festival name and logo is Marat Barsky.
